Terms of Service

By using The Vent Vault, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use it.

The Vent Vault is a personal project. It's not a company, not an organization, and not a registered business. Think of it as someone handing you a blank piece of paper and a pen. We give you the space to write. What you write is yours, and the responsibility for it is yours too.

We run automated filters to catch obvious spam and harmful content, but no human is sitting on the other end reading what you submit. We don't endorse or verify anything that's posted, and we're not responsible for how others choose to use this space.

You must be 18 or older. By submitting a vent, you're confirming that.

This is a place for honest human feelings. It's not a place for:

• ●Anything involving minors or child exploitation
• ●Instructions or encouragement for self-harm (expressing pain is fine, telling others to hurt themselves is not)
• ●Threats of violence against anyone
• ●Someone else's personal info (names, addresses, phone numbers, social media handles)
• ●Revenge content or non-consensual intimate material
• ●Spam, phishing links, or bot submissions

We have some background filters in place to catch bots and keep out the prohibited things listed above. If something harmful still slips through, we can remove it at any time. We just want to keep this space safe and true to its purpose.

Each vent costs $1 USD. It's a one-time payment, not a subscription.

Once your vent is placed in the jar, it's done. We can't undo it, so refunds aren't available after submission.

You own what you write. By submitting, you give us permission to store it, display it, and keep it as part of the vault. Other visitors may read it. That's the whole point.

We can modify, pause, or shut down any part of this site at any time, for any reason, without notice and without refunding anyone. This includes the vault itself. It's a personal project and we reserve full control over it.

This is a space for your feelings, not for hurting others. We trust you to use it with good intentions.

If something here infringes your copyright, email legal@theventvault.com with what's being infringed and where it is on our site.

We might update these terms. When we do, we update the date at the top. Using the site after that means you accept them.
